Pump Manufacturers

    • The Hydraulic Institute was established in 1917 to serve the pump industry. As a pump manufacturer, you benefit greatly from the technical standards being created by HI members. But as an HI member, you become an influential participant in the creation of international technical standards. You keep up-to-date on all industry developments. You gain extraordinary access to pump industry leaders from North America and globally.

      Eligibility Requirements: Eligibility to apply for regular membership shall be open to corporations and firms engaged in the manufacture of pumps, regardless of the location where that manufacture occurs, provided that the corporation or firm sell pumps into the North America market. The manufacture and sale shall have taken place for at least one year prior to the application for membership. As used herein, manufacture shall mean the machining or fabrication and assembly of pump units. Regular Members headquartered outside of North America, who manufacture pumps wholly outside of North America but sell pumps & pumping systems into the North America market, shall be authorized to designate a Standards Voting Representative to vote on standards and other technical matters, but shall not be authorized to designate an Executive Voting Representative to vote on non-technical matters.

      While all pump manufacturers that sell into the North American market are eligible to join HI, the application forms and dues estimate calculations vary.
