HI Academic Partner Program

    • Academic Partners

      Academic Partner Program Highlights:

Professors and students who are engaged in the academic study of pumps and pumping systems are encouraged to join with Hydraulic Institute members in the development of reference materials for the pump industry.  Their participation helps to ensure that HI resources reflect the most current, relevant information available. Benefits of becoming an Academic Partner include:

      • Standards development participation
      • Networking, education and professional development
      • Discounted conference registration fees
      • Discounts on HI standards, guidebooks, and education
      • Presentation opportunities at HI conferences and educational events

      Eligibility:

Any individual who is employed by or attends a college or university and who wishes to contribute to the development of Hydraulic Institute’s resources for the pump industry including standards, guidelines, guidebooks, and other educational materials is eligible to participate as a Hydraulic Institute Academic Partner.

      Exclusions:

Individuals employed by corporations that are eligible to join the Hydraulic Institute are not eligible to become HI Academic Partners but are encouraged to apply for membership.  Individuals employed by companies whose primary business is in the distribution or reselling of pumps or related pumping equipment are not eligible for the Academic Partner Program.

      Participation:

Each Academic Partner must complete a Technical Areas of Expertise Form.  Academic Partners are welcome to attend HI conferences and events at reduced rates.  Academic Partnership is on an individual basis and does not extend to the Partner’s business colleagues or to the college or university with which he or she is affiliated.
